i’ll never be the same
In 1999, I traveled to Venice, Italy. I made a friend who changed my life and brought out the best in me. I remember sitting with her in a plaza at night listening to “I’ll never be the same” (Billie Holiday). In October, 2013, she died in a car accident. She will be missed by many. This print is dedicated to her.
“Life is like getting dropped off in the middle of the woods, and then year by year, gradually walking home.”
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
“Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say that there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.”
